Fall Schedule-
Beautiful Beginnings
Ages 18 months- 2 years
NFDA’s Beautiful Beginnings classes are thoughtfully designed to develop gross motor skills, coordination, listening abilities, and musicality- all while nurturing each child’s imagination. Each class provides developmentally appropriate instruction through music, movement, and props. Dancers will showcase what they’ve learned with an onstage performance at our annual recital in May
Tiny Toes
Ages 2-3
NFDA’S TINY TOES classes are thoughtfully designed to enhance gross motor skills, coordination, listening abilities, and musicality- all while nurturing each child’s imagination. Each class offers developmentally appropriate instruction through music, dance, and the use of engaging props. At the end of the year, dancers have the opportunity to showcase their progress in our annual recital each May.
Pre-K
Ages 3-4
The Pre-K level is designed for the young dancers who are interested in experiencing different genres. We offer combo classes that are designed to give two genres during one class. This is a great way for your dancer to try out several styles before entering our beginning level. They only perform one style in the recital in May.
Primary Level
Ages 5-6
Our Primary Level classes are designed for dancers ages 5–6, building confidence, coordination, musicality, and a love of dance in a fun and encouraging environment. Students continue to develop foundational technique while exploring movement and creativity, culminating in a special year-end recital in May where they can showcase everything they've learned.
Level 1
Ages 7-9
By the time students reach our Level 1 classes, they are ready to begin building a strong foundation in proper dance technique-while still enjoying the fun of music and movement! Level 1 is recommended for our Petite dancers (ages 7–9). Dancers will have an exciting onstage performance in our annual recital in May.
Ages 3-6
Ready Set Dance
At New Focus Dance Academy we are proud to have certified teachers who incorporate the innovative Ready Set Dance program into our classes. Designed specifically for young children, Ready Set Dance introduces them to the wonderful world of dance in a fun and engaging way. In each class, our experienced teachers explore various aspects of the Ready Set Dance curriculum using playful approaches that cater to the curiosity and imagination of our young learners. Through regular and sustained participation in Ready Set Dance classes, children develop positive dispositions to learning, including enthusiasm, independence, concentration, persistence, cooperation, and the three C's: confidence, coordination, and creativity.
Levels 2
Ages 10-12
By the time students reach our Level 2 classes, they are ready building a strong foundation in proper dance technique- while still enjoying the fun of music and movement! Level 2 is recommended for our dancers (ages 10-12). This level will include exciting onstage performance in our annual recital in May.
Levels 3
Ages 13-15
Our Level 3 & 4 students build on the strong foundations established in earlier levels, developing greater strength, control, and flexibility while expanding their artistic expression, exploring new styles, and growing in confidence.
Levels 4
Ages 13 & up
Our Level 3 & 4 students build on the strong foundations established in earlier levels, developing greater strength, control, and flexibility while expanding their artistic expression, exploring new styles, and growing in confidence.
